شرکت فولاد مبارکه اصفهان که اکنون یکی از بزرگترین واحدهای صنعتی جمهوری اسلامی ایران است ، در زمینی به مساحت 35 کیلومتر مربع در نزدیکی شهرستان مبارکه و در 65 کیلومتری جنوب غربی شهر اصفهان واقع شده است . عملیات اجرائی این مجتمع  در سال 1360 آغاز گردید و در دوران جنگ تحمیلی و زیر حملات هوائی جنگنده های دشمن بدست توانای سربازان پر افتخار جبهه صنعت ادامه یافت .

فعالیتهای ساختمانی و فنی اجرا شده در دوران ساخت این مجتمع در خاورمیانه کم نظیر بوده و به عنوان نزدیک به 18 میلیون و 700 هزار متر مکعب خاکبرداری و بالغ بر یک میلیون و 845 هزار متر مکعب بتن ریزی ، یک میلیون و 800 هزار متر مربع قالب بندی و 80 هزار تن آرماتور ، حدود 150 هزار تن اسکلت فلزی ، یک میلیون متر مربع نصب پوشش و بالغ بر 500 هزار تن  تجهیزات و ماشین آلات در آن نصب گردیده است .

اولین کوره قوس الکتریکی واحد فولاد سازی این مجتمع در مهرماه سال 1370 راه اندازی شد و در 23 دی ماه 1371 خطوط تولید این کارخانه بزرگ توسط رئیس جمهور وقت افتتاح گردید و با ورود محصولات فولادی این شرکت به بازار و افزایش تدریجی تولید تا سقف ظرفیت اسمی 4/2 میلیون تن بخش عمده ای از نیاز کشور به این کالای استراتژیک برطرف گردید .

 این شرکت در سالهای پس از رسیدن به ظرفیت اسمی ، با کسب تجربه و توانمندیهای اقتصادی ، برای پاسخگویی به نیاز روز افزون بازار داخلی و خارجی و استفاده بهینه از تجهیزات و ماشین آلات تولیدی موجود ، اقدام به برنامه ریزی برای افزایش تولید در قالب طرحهای توسعه نمود و با استفاده از اعتبارات مالی ، ریالی و ارزی ، اولین مرحله طرحهای توسعه را اجرا نمود که این موفقیت ها با افزایش ظرفیت تولید حاصل از اجرای طرحهای توسعه همراه با تولیدات ناحیه فولاد سازی و نورد پیوسته (سبا) که در سال 1385 به خطوط تولید شرکت فولاد مبارکه ملحق شد موجب گردید تا میزان تولید این شرکت در سال 85 به 7/4 میلیون تن برسد و قرار است با اجرای طرحهای توسعه مرحله دوم در زیر سقف موجود ناحیه فولاد سازی و خطوط جدید فولاد سازی ( طرح شهید خرازی ) و ناحیه فولاد سازی و نورد پیوسته (سبا) بر اساس برنامه پنج ساله (1386-1389 ) تولیدات شرکت تا سال 1389 به 6 میلیون تن و در سال 1390 به 9 میلیون تن افزایش یابد .

 

Geography and History of Isfahan City

Isfahan (32°38′N 51°39′E) is located in the lush plain of the Zayandeh River, central Iran, with an elevation of about 1570 meters. Royal family resided in Isfahan during the Achaemenid Empire. The city was prosperous throughout Achaemenid, Seleucid, Parthian and Sasanid Empires.

Scattered, magnificent historical sites around Isfahan dating back to Seljuq Dynasty bear evidence to the fact that Isfahan was not only a wealthy and developed city of its time, but also a vast area surrounding the city benefited from its central role in those times. Ardestan Jame Mosque (1158 AD), Pamenar Mosque (1068 AD), Parsian Mosque (1099 AD), Gaar Mosque (1121 AD), Seen Mosque (1132 AD), Gaz Mosque (11th century) and Rahrovan Minaret (11th century), as some of the most sophisticated examples of Islamic buildings and Isfahan architecture school, indicate the excellence of design and construction, imitated for a long time by other Iranian architects.

  • A closer look reveals that Safavid Architecture began in the time of Shah Abbas. In this regards, Wilfred Blant comments, "the beginning of urban planning by Shah Abbas was an ambitious idea in terms of both imagination and scale, including establishment of a great capital composed of streets, palaces, courts, mosques and schools, bazaars, bathhouses, castles and gardens. In materializing this ambitious plan, a prominent man served as Shah\'s hand: Sheikh Bahayi. A scholar, philosopher, Quran commentator, jurist, astrologist, teacher, poet and engineer of his time, he could be considered an abstract of the people of that time. Isfahan was an example of nice weather among writer and poets, with its people being famous for intelligence, innovation and artistic spirit."
  • Isfahan has always been known as a cradle of Persian art. In the last century, various foreign historians of considered Isfahan as equal to cities such as Beijing, Venice, Rome and Florence. Due to its historical and Islamic prominence, Isfahan is titles Star of the Muslim World.

History of Foolad Mobarakeh Sepahan Sports and Cultural Club
In 1953, late Mr. Mahmoud Hariri established Shahin Club in Isfahan. In 1967, the club changed its name to Sepahan, an ancient name of Isfahan City, to become the flag bearer of Sport in Isfahan Province. In the beginning of 1993, Sepahan Cement Factory took sponsorship of the club with the new name, Siman (cement) Sepahan Sports and Cultural Club.

In 2000, following a long discussion between provincial officials and Foolad Mobarakeh Steel Company, the company began supporting the club with its current name, Foolad Mobarakeh Sepahan Sports and Cultural Club.

The club currently operates in various sports fields. Football, handball, karate, chess, swimming, basketball, judo, shooting (for the disabled), volleyball, taekwondo, ping-pong, weigh lifting, gymnastics, wrestling, track and field, and mountain climbing for men, as well as handball, basketball, karate, badminton, chess, ping-pong, swimming, futsal and fitness for women.

It should be noted that Iran Sports Organization announced the club as the Exemplary Club in 2000. Furthermore, Best of Iran Festival, organized by sports and press community of Iran, selected Sepahan Club as the best club of 2002.

In 2003, Sepahan Football Team won the championship of Iran Premiere League, the first time that a provincial team could achieve the title. In 2005, Sepahan was selected as the Exemplary Club in handball activities. Following runners-up title in ACL 2007 and qualifying for FIFA Club World Cup 2007, the club was selected as the best Iranian Football Club of 2007 in Best of Football Festival organized by Iran Broadcasting Company. It\'s worth noting that since 2003, Sepahan Club has participated seven times in of Asian Championship League.

In 2009, Sepahan was selected as the Top Brand in 100 Top Brands of Isfahan. Finally, in 2010, International Federation of Football History and Statistics, IFFHS, announced that in the first decade of the century, Sepahan had been the best Iranian club, ranking 8th and 237th in Asia and world, respectively.
